 Dr. Gaurav Shastri, Ph.D (Genetics)

 Dr Gaurav Shastri is  a leading geneticist with over 14 years of experience in medical genetics, he has played a key role in advancing genetic diagnostics and counseling services in India.

He earned his Ph.D. from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, with research focused on Leukemia Genetics, and has been actively working in the field of medical genetics since 2007. Dr. Shastri also serves as a Ph.D. Guide at Uka Tarsadiya University, Gujarat, contributing to academic research and training future geneticists.

Dr. Shastri has extensive expertise in Cytogenetics, Molecular Genetics, Genomics, and Genetic Counseling, with hands-on experience in reporting thousands of cases involving karyotyping, FISH, chromosomal microarray, NGS-based panels, and exome sequencing. His core areas of specialization include Reproductive Genetics, Prenatal Diagnosis, Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT), and Cancer Genetics.

He is a Life Member of the Indian Society of Human Genetics (ISHG) and a member of the Association of Genetic Technologists (AGT, USA/Canada). Dr. Shastri is a frequent speaker at national conferences and medical forums, sharing his expertise in clinical genetics and genomics.

 Dr. Ekta Shastri, Ph.D. (Genetics)
CEO & Clinical Director | Consultant Geneticist & Clinical Embryologist

Dr. Ekta Shastri is a highly experienced Consultant Geneticist and Clinical Embryologist with over 14 years of expertise in reproductive genetics, genomics, and assisted reproductive technologies. She is the Founder, CEO, and Clinical Director of GeNe CaRe Diagnostics and Research Centre, Surat, established in 2011, which has grown into a leading reference laboratory for genetics and genomics in the region.

She holds a Ph.D. in Reproductive Genetics and a Fellowship in Clinical Embryology from Chennai Fertility Centre. Dr. Shastri has extensive hands-on experience in cytogenetics, molecular genetics, next-generation sequencing (NGS), preimplantation genetic testing (PGT-A/M/SR), and genetic counseling. She has analyzed and reported thousands of genetic cases, performed 10,000+ embryo biopsies, and conducted 20,000+ ICSI procedures.

Dr. Shastri is a lifetime member of ESHRE, ISAR, IFS, and ACE, and an active member of the Association of Genetic Technologists (AGT), Canada/USA. She is a frequent speaker at national conferences and medical forums, contributing significantly to education and advancements in reproductive and clinical genetics.

 Mr. Hiral Shah is a Science graduate with extensive experience in accounting, finance, and business management. He serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of GeNe CaRe Diagnostics and Research Centre, where he oversees the financial operations, administrative functions, and strategic business expansion of the organization. With strong expertise in financial planning, compliance, and operational management, he plays a key role in ensuring financial stability and driving sustainable growth. 

  Dr. Ushma Urvij Dave is a distinguished Human Geneticist and serves as the Principal Research Scientist (Research & Quality) at Gene Care. With a PhD in Genetics (U.K) and strong expertise in molecular diagnostics, she brings extensive experience in oncology genetics, translational research, and advanced PCR technologies including RT-PCR and ddPCR.

Prior to joining Gene Care, she worked as an Associate Scientist at MedGenome Labs, where she played a key role in oncology testing, assay optimization, and implementation of robust quality systems aligned with international standards, including CAP-accredited laboratory practices.

At Gene Care, Dr. Ushma leads research and quality initiatives, focusing on strengthening laboratory processes, accreditation readiness, and development of advanced genetic testing services. Her work reflects a commitment to precision, innovation, and delivering high-quality, reliable diagnostic solutions.
